Watch for the P.S.
So... this week was... ok. Elder Sheridan and I have been having problems with our bikes( mostly him). Both my tires popped but I got them traded out for solid rubber tires for free which is awesome. Although Elder Sheridan's bike is aweful. In the past week 4 flat tires and now his gears are broken so we will be walking now. Whoot! There are these weeds called goatheads all over Jerome. They can easily pierce tires so they are a constant hazard.
We met with an investigator and his son on Wednesday and he is pretty cool. All of our investigators are super faithful and full of spirit but they can't get over their addictions. So we keep teaching them and being there for them cause it's all we can do.
Whilst on my mission I have found out many things about my self. First of all I now like Potatoes! Who would've guessed that! It just goes to show with a lot of butter and salt any thing can taste better, except for cereal. Secondly I work really hard. 14 hours a day psssh. Thirdly I can get over adversity. Talking to people is hard for me but I know as I keep the commandments and stay focused, the lord will help me with my burdens.
So we live in a duplex with this crazy neighbor who is home 24/7 365 because he mooches off of the lady who lives there. He is home all the time and hates it when we do laundry on any other day besides Monday because we only have one washer and dryer so we share. And when ever he is upset we can hear him yelling from the other side of the wall. He is pretty crazy.
It has been pretty nice here in Jerome; got some pretty usual Idaho wheather the other day. Snow in the morning, hail for 4 hours, and rain for the rest of the day with high winds. Elder Sheridan can't remember his dreams so he looked up ways to remember and now he hsa an alarm go off every 2 hours at night. It kinda sucks, but oh well.
So over all it's been Really great but Really hard and if it wasn't hard it wouldn't be worth it.

Super Legendary Week!
This week has been so incredible and I have so much to talk about so brace yourself.
First of all, Thursday evening we had my first lesson at a part member’s house, Bro. and Sis. Roberts. The wife is a member but the husband isn't. At the end of the lesson, the fellowshipper, Bro. Lusk bore his testimony. It was so powerful and it led Sis. Roberts to bare her testimony. She said that she wanted Br. Roberts to find his own testimony for himself and now Brother Roberts is on the short path to baptism.
Next day we had District meeting all the missionaries in my district are so nice. We ate at a Mexican restaurant. I was going to have just a plain quesadilla but i decided to try a Chimi-changa. It was delicious. Afterwards we headed to dinner and they told about a potential investigator. We headed over there and talked for a while she seemed very interested in the church and I can't wait to teach her some more. We then met the Bishop of our ward that we cover he is from Texas and is REALY missionary minded which is good he has all of the ward talking and fellowshipping Investigators it is incredible to see a missionary set ward.
Next day we received a call from the sister missionaries informing us of an investigator family that moved in to our ward. Both of the kids want to be baptized and will when their father comes down. Saturday night Elder Sheridan and I went tracting and got chased by a dog it stopped but it was still pretty intense. Everyone in Jerome has a dog or two. So much Barking! But its nice because dogs love me and when we teach a family they always cuddle with me. Back to Saturday night we stopped to talk to a family that where doing some yard work, turns out they where building a furnace for a green house. We stopped and talked with them for a whlie they where really nice but not really interested in the church. Sunday night we did exchanges with the District leader and his companion. the ward boundaries changed and they where loosing two of their really good investigators.
So in order to kinda introduce the new elders we split up to visit them. I went to Matt and Leann Sturgeon with elder Riding. Super Nice People we committed them to read the Book of Mormon and pray daily. They had two kids the youngest who was about 3 would climb all over me and get in my suit pockets and look for stuff. He found my mechanical pencil and now I have to get more lead, but he was super sweet. Jerome is incredible everyone is so nice and willing to listen. I love it here!

Elder Joseph Herrin entered the mission field March 18, 2014. His parents took him straight to the Idaho Twin Falls Mission where they all met with President and Sister Carter. He was welcomed with open and loving arms. We were so pretty certain that we would not know anything about where Elder Herrin was or what his first week would be like when, SURPRISE! We got an unexpected email - thank you President Carter for letting him fill us in on this exciting first week!
From Elder Herrin:
Hello Family I have been transfered to jerome to whitewash a new ward. I will normally be sending emails on monday 1-3. So the first day we spent 6 hours training and doing role playing with members from the nearby ward. It was nice because I didn't get to go to the mtc and experience those things. Nothing much has happened yet except at jerome most of the people are lds or interessted in the church. My new address is 511 2nd ave. east Jerome 83338. I forgot my book bag so if you could send that to me that would be nice. also I don't have a camera, where would be a good place to get one. my new companion's name is Elder Sheridan, he ahs been out for 5 month's and is waiting for a visa to go to brazil. I hope everything is going good and make sure to tell sam to write me. oh and if you could tell Nathaniel and the people at Jimmy Johns my email, and mailing address that would be nice.
I love you guys so much!
