Hot Missionary Pictures!

Hold to the Rod

Oh Poor Justin! Give him Loves from me! It's good to here that you and the family are doing well. This week has been pretty same old same old. We are trying really hard to get the ward to do missionary work. We are planning to have a missionary sacrament and I have a couple good ideas to kind of call the ward to repentance. Back in Twin we always had referrals from the ward and they usually led to really good investigators. But other than that we have found some good people through our own methods. We go to a park and contact. We usually just go up and down the trail, but sometimes we stop and play basketball in our Church clothes so we usually draw lots of attention. We stopped to play last week and ran into a guy we talked to earlier in the month and now we plan to teach him and his son.

I am getting along with the work. I still have ups and downs but I am learning how to make my ups and downs not so drastic. So that has helped me.

So funny story last week we helped move in some people in our apartment complex. They were two female college students whom were...nice. So after we finish we asked if we could pray with them. With no time to react they formed a prayer circle and held hands. and I was found  myself between the two girls holding their hands. HaHa tender mercies of The Lord!

So overall I am doing well I love you hope that you are doing well also.

It's Cold in Orlando

That title had a little bit of wordplay to make this email bold
I spent this last week fighting off a vicious cold
So lots of coughing, and lots of wheezing
Noses stuffing and lots of sneezing
I thought that the sickness was through
Then I found Elder Dalmas had it too!
We laid in bed to get some rest.
We both knew it was for the best
But we couldn't wait any longer
Our faith we knew would make us stronger!
We headed out with faith to find
And we met some people who were really kind
We shared with them a message of hope
And through Jesus Christ he can help us cope
They were really interested in what we had to say
But regrettably we couldn't stay
We told them we have more to share
A message of truth beyond compare
We got their numbers and went on our way
And set up a time to meet another day
With all of these miracles it makes me think
That even though some days really stink
That I would go through worse then I already do
Just to see someone else's faith grow too!
And as we Listen, Love, and Learn
We will be blessed around every turn
Just take a step, no leaps are needed
Just little by little your faith will be treated.
Do not fear anything
Because that Lord is there! accept his Blessing!

Pretty Pink Kitty Face

So this week has been really crazy. We have no investigators so we
spent the week finding. We had a Zone Training Meeting about
contacting. We role played for two hours about contacting everyone.
Elder Dalmas and I had to role play contacting a guy while at the
urinal. It was really awkward. We did it in front of the whole zone.
We did well considering the circumstances. I went on exchanges twice
this week one time I split with the Zone Leaders so I got to go to
their area. It was pretty cool. But the best exchange was with one of
the elders from my MTC district, Elder Bateman. It was really great.
We got 4 potential investigators. UCF the local college is starting
its new semester so Elder Bateman and I helped move in two people into
their apartments. It was so hard. One of them had this couch that was
made out of two recliners so it was very difficult to move. Plus it
was on the second floor. Afterwards we talked a bit then we asked if
we could say a prayer together. So the family agreed and got in a
circle and we all held hands it was pretty sketchy. Plus that fact the
girl I was next to was super good looking. What a blessing. We then
went to a members house and shared. Message about member missionary
work.

So all of you whom I am writing I would like to challenge you to apply
these teachings. So as missionaries it is our responsibility to help
spiritual convert people. Teach them principles and get them prepared
for baptism. Members however dispute what many would people does not
involve teaching people. More so they help by being friends with
non-members and sharing your testimony when the topic comes up. We are
heading in to the fall season. I know in my ward we have multiple
planned activities. So I would encourage you all to invite a
non-member friend to join you in the next ward activity.

After we taught them this lesson we got our faces painted by one of
their daughters. Elder Bateman was a tiger and I was a Pretty Pink
Kitty. I didn't ask for that by the way.
But other than that we have just had a lot of good finding experiences
and I can't wait till next week.
Hope you all are doing well and have good week!
