So Conference Weekend! It was a Blast! All the missionaries in the
area watched conference at the church and after the Morning
session Elder Dalmas went to go use the restroom only to find one of
the urinals constantly flushing. We couldn't leave it. It was wasting
water but their was no one their who had the means to fix it. So what
do I do? I go up and Kick the piping of the urinal and low and behold
the flushing stopped! It was a dream come true!
But before I go into anything else lets start at the beginning of the week.
So my sickness is finally subsiding and we have finally been able to go out and work
hard! We are always jam packed with appointments! We have over 400
Potential investigators we are trying to get through. Most don't exist
anymore. We also have a lot of Recent Converts we are working with.
Our investigator Lieutenant Colonel J. B. is often drunk and
the great thing about it is when ever he is he calls us. Which is good
and bad... He often just rambles about his Military Career but as of
late we have been really bold with him and him calling us gives us a
chance to be held accountable. He has a good heart and I hope he
changes for the good!
It all comes back to a willingness to change.
Something I have realized on my mission is that everyone sees the need
to change major things. But is that all that is required. I have found
true happiness comes from accepting Gods will! We must not let our
hearts like clay become hard. Leading to the need for Heavenly Father
to break us in order to fit into his tight expectations. We must
always be at the mercy of the hands of God! He knows what we need to
be and it is a lot easier and less painful to have our hearts be soft
and moldable, ready for the hands of our Father!
I really enjoyed conference and something I caught onto, which I am sure many did,
was the emphasis on following the prophet how great was it then when our
prophet Thomas s. Monson spoke about following the savior! That truly
stuck out to me if. It showed me if The prophet could tell us anything
it would be to follow the savior! To do his will! I loved this
conference and I hope you all have a good week!
